Counter Ejectors

 Counter Ejector PDF Catalog

At FnD, we offer a range of Counter Ejectors to meet your needs, and unlike some companies, we can also handle the installation.  Installation can usually be accomplished in one working day.  Since 1982, we've installed hundreds of Counter Ejectors worldwide.
We can also claim to be one of them of the most experienced, if not THE most experienced company to offer retrofit counter-ejectors. We have installed behind everything from from Koppers, to Curioni Mini-Downfolds.   We can install behind any machine successfully, without limiting the machines capabilities.

Our lead time is down to 12 weeks!

Available Sizes:

  • CE20 (Mini) 23 X 60
  • CE35 (35") 35 X 80 Range
  • CE50 (50") 50 X 110 Range

We have also manufactured machines for 66" and Larger.  Our largest installation is 110 x 200.

Components:
  • Main Drive is a Magnetek Vector Drive. 10HP on both 35 and 50" machines, 5Hp on mini's and bigger if necessary on larger CE's.
  • We use a Dynapar Ambassador series counter with a photo eye mounted at the entrance to the hopper to assure accurate bundle count.
  • All drive components are Gates Polychain for superior wear resistance.
  • Kicker mounted using IKO 25mm Linear bearings.
  • Minimal spare parts requirements.
  • Very reliable machines, lack of down time and maintenance issues a plus for our machinery. All models or sizes very simple to work on.
  • Owner and operator manual includes original manufacturers part numbers. We try to use parts that are readily available in most any area.

Available Options:

  • Die Cut Option for running die cuts or outside glue on down fold machines.
  • Up to a 60" boardline.
  • Side Guides for running smaller than usual (width across machine) than normal boxes. Standard on Minis.
  • Optional bundle separator for improved bundle count accuracy.

Die Cut Option:

Servo controlled, aluminum "lift" rollers triggered by the trailing edge of each box clearing a photo-eye.
The lift rollers rotate one revolution to pick-up and hold trailing edge of box to allow clearance for next box. Adding the Die Cut Option does not reduce the maximum speed of the Counter Ejector!

Entrance Belts:
On all top fold folders we install independently controlled variable speed top belts.

Entrance belts of counter-ejector. On all top fold folders we install independently controlled variable speed top belts. These aid in the squaring of the panels of the box. Each belt driven by a 3HP motor and follows speed of machine with a potentiometer to allow over speed of up to 15%.

Hopper

This picture shows the Hopper of the Counter-Ejector. The Squaring Section moves straight in and out as opposed to paddling.

Hopper of Counter-Ejector. Squaring Section (yellow bar) moves straight in and out as opposed to paddling like many. This allows the bar to "straighten, if possible, the out of square panel instead of just bending it down. The hold downs, compression section and pusher are all adjustable laterally.

Compression section adjustable with linear actuator. Entire upper section to include the compression section, kicker, and hold downs adjustable laterally. View of exit belts. When bundle is ejected, it is ejected either 6, 8, 10, or 12 inches depending on machine size. The bundle is ejected onto the belts and the belts drive the bundle onto the skate conveyor. Bundle remains under compression until it reaches the end of the machine. Exit height typically boardline of folder plus 6".
